Shiry is originally from Tel-Aviv, Israel, but in 2014 she decided to move to Hamburg, and with this change the world of yoga opened up to her and she embraced it as a way of living. In 2018 she went deeper into the yoga practice and its vast philosophy and did a teachers train- ing with Oren Zaslavsky in Berlin.

Her classes follow the teaching of Tirumalai Krishnamacharya and his son, T. K. V. Desikachar, which consists of a breath based practice, giving focus to the respiration, allowing the breath to guide our movement and become our teacher. Her practice is combine with other influences from Hatha yoga and a more dynamic Vinyasa practice. She also integrate Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.

Yoga means to her:
Yoga is a never ending journey of discovery, finding new sides within yourself, new observations on the world and having better relations with the people around you.

Personal aims:
Creating a safe space for students to feel comfortable in exploring the range of possibilities that yoga has to offer.

Important for classes:
My classes are open to all levels, I do not believe there is one yoga for all but that we are all different in our own ways, and so should the asana practice be. In my class I offer variations for asanas so that the student can explore and use what feels right for him/her.
